Eagle Iron Works Introduces New Fines Recovery System
June 14, 2023
Des Moines, Iowa, June 14, 2023 – Eagle Iron Works has been providing customers with reliable, easy-to-operate aggregate washing and classifying equipment since 1872. After celebrating 150 years of business in 2022, EIW has expanded its equipment line to give producers access to not only a full range of washing and classifying equipment, but also access to equipment for managing the resulting waste stream.
Eagle Iron Works is proud to introduce the Hawk Fines Recovery Plant. The Hawk consists of a Sump, Pump, Hydrocyclones and Dewatering Screen in a modular, compact design. It can be used as a stand-alone solution for fines recovery or used as part of a larger tailings management system.
The Hawk captures ultra-fine solids from process water in the waste stream and discharges a drip-free material that is conveyable, stackable and potentially saleable.
It will help to reduce the amount of solids that go to the settling pond, reducing the frequency that ponds need to be cleaned out and as a result reducing labor and equipment costs. In areas where water is scarce or expensive to buy, the Hawk Fines Recovery Plant offers a first step in preparing the waste stream for water recycling in downstream equipment such as Thickeners and Filter Presses.
The heavy-duty design and easy maintenance of the Hawk make it the ideal option for producers looking for a fines recovery solution. The modularity of the plant makes setup quick and simple, so your operation is up and running sooner, while the compact design allows for maximum use of land resources.
“EIW has been successful for the last 150 years because we design and build the heavy-duty equipment that the industry needs. We listened to the customers and industries around us and have developed a new fines recovery system that we’re excited to bring to market,” said Tim Miller, Business Line Director – EIW.
